Hassan, a kinesiology major, had back-to-back season-highs in rebounds and led the team in scoring as the Ridgebacks nearly upset the No. 7 ranked Laurentian Voyageurs on Saturday. In Friday’s 93-85 loss to the Nipissing Lakers he grabbed 19 boards alongside 14 points. Against Laurentian he finished with 24 points and 19 boards, which included nine points and 10 rebounds in the first quarter to put Ontario Tech ahead 24-7. They lost the game 85-75.

Both basketball teams wrap up their inaugural season this week with a Wednesday night game at York, followed by a road trip to Thunder Bay on the weekend to face the Lakehead Thunderwolves.
