Ross, a first-year communication and digital media studies student, was a spark plug for the Ridgebacks on their annual Montreal road trip. Ending the weekend with three points, Ross helped the Ridgebacks earn three out of a possible four points in the standings. The rookie potted a pair of goals Friday night against McGill, which included his first career OUA goal. He also collected an assist on the tying goal on Saturday against Concordia, a game which Ontario Tech won in overtime.
 
The men's hockey team will now return home this weekend as they get set to welcome the UQTR Patriotes for a doubleheader.
 
The Ontario Tech student-athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North Oshawa.
