First-year nursing student Megan Johnston scored her first career Ontario University Athletics (OUA) goal in her seventh game of the season as the Ridgebacks defeated the Nipissing Lakers in a thrilling 3-2 overtime victory on home ice.

After coming back from down by two goals in the third period, Johnston broke through the Lakers’ defence and scored her milestone goal on the breakaway 36 seconds into sudden death.
