Martin, a third year communications major, was solid in net for the Ridgebacks' season opener against the Carleton Ravens that resulted in a 1-1 draw. With the teams tied in the 82nd minute, Martin made a game-saving stop off a penalty kick and followed that up with another save on the rebound attempt. Martin would finish the night with seven saves leading UOIT to their first points of the season.
