Johnston, a second-year nursing student, recorded the second multi-point game of her career in an explosive offensive showing from the Ridgebacks on Sunday afternoon. Defeating the Laurentian Voyageurs 7-2, Johnston notched a goal and two assists, including a helper on the game-winning goal. After assisting on UOIT's opening goal of the game at the four minute mark of the first period, Johnston picked up her second assist of the game as part of the Ridgebacks powerplay unit. The powerplay marker would prove to be the game-winner, but Johnston also recorded an unassisted goal of her own late in the second period as insurance. The speedy forward now sits second in team scoring this season with 6 points (2 G, 4 A) through 11 games played.
