Austin Eastman, a first-year commerce student, finished his opening weekend with the Ridgebacks as one of four UOIT players to have a three-point weekend. The rookie forward scored his first OUA goal in his first conference game against the Laurentian Voyageurs, which he followed with a two-point night on Saturday. Eastman’s goal against the Nipissing Lakers on Saturday was the eventual game winner, followed by an assist minutes later on rookie Bryce Fiske’s first of the year.
