Blasko, a criminology and justice studies student, finished with three goals this week. Saturday he potted two goals for UOIT in their 4-1 victory over the Ottawa Gee-Gees. Prior to that he had the Ridgebacks first goal of the game against the McGill Redmen on Friday night at the Campus Ice Centre, which UOIT lost 4-2.

The men's hockey team will wrap up the first half of their season this weekend as they host the Concordia Stingers on Friday and RMC Paladins on Saturday. Puck drop for both games is 7:30 p.m. at the Campus Ice Centre.

The UOIT athlete of the week awards are presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
