TORONTO, Ont. – Joshua Nguyen and Chloe Hoang of the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks have earned OUA All-Star honors for their outstanding performances at the OUA Badminton Championship.

Competing at York University this past weekend, the Ridgebacks showcased their resilience in a highly competitive field. The team fought hard in several close matchups, including a narrow 6-4 loss to the Toronto Varsity Blues and a hard-fought 5-5 tie against the McMaster Marauders. Day two saw Ontario Tech drop another close 6-4 match to the Western Mustangs before bouncing back with a dominant 6-2 victory over the Guelph Gryphons. The Ridgebacks concluded the tournament with a 7-7 tie against the TMU Bold, securing a seventh-place finish.

Nguyen and Hoang stood out with their stellar play throughout the tournament, earning recognition as OUA All-Stars. Their achievements mark a significant milestone for Ontario Tech badminton as they now set their sights on the 2025 YONEX Canadian University/College Championships in March.
