SUDBURY, Ont. –  The Ontario Tech women's curling team fought valiantly but narrowly missed the playoffs at the OUA Women's Curling Championship in Sudbury, Ont.
The women opened up the weekend with a big 6-4 victory over the Western Mustangs on Friday morning and ended the day with a 7-2 loss to the host school, Laurentian Voyageurs.
On Saturday, the Ridgebacks lost 9-3 to the Guelph Gryphons after the Gryphons took a strong nine-point lead to start the match. Finally, the Ridgebacks opened their final game with a three-point lead after the first two frames but ultimately dropped 5-4 to the Windsor Lancers, eliminating them from the playoff round.
This concludes the season for women's curling.
