OSHAWA, Ont. – Lillianne Wrigley (Oshawa, Ont.) of women's curling and Zubair Seyed (Cambridge, Ont.) have been named Ontario Tech student-athletes of the week for the period ending on February 4.

With so many men's basketball players having outstanding weeks in the Ridgebacks return home to the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre, on a typical week, it would be hard to choose just one – but in the Ridgebacks 90-82 win over the Waterloo Warriors, Seyed finished just one point shy of the school record for points in a game with 33 points. He followed that up with another solid performance with 21 points, six assists, and two steals as the Ridgebacks beat their fifth nationally-ranked team this season.

Lillianne Wrigley is picking up her first athlete of the week nod this year after Ontario Tech women's curling made the trip to the OUA Curling Championships in Guelph this past weekend, where they picked up a 9-5 win over the Windsor Lancers to start their stretch of games.

While the curling season has ended, the Ridgebacks will have two critical games left at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre this season when the Carleton Ravens and Ottawa Gee-Gees come to town on February 16 and 17.
