WATERLOO, Ont. – The Ridgebacks women's hockey team have won their third game in a row, beating the Laurier Golden Hawks 2-1 in a shootout.
After falling down one nothing in the second period the Ridgebacks tied up the game on a goal by Alyssa Denny (Keswick, Ont), her first on the season. After a scoreless third and extra frame we headed to a shootout where
Emily Davis-Tope(Bendigo, Australia) scored on a nice move to give the Ridegebacks the victory.
Zoe McGee(Kanata, Ont) was excellent keeping the Ridgebacks in the game and shutting the door on a key power play in overtime, and in the shootout. Backstopping the Ridgebacks to a 2-1 victory.
Ridgebacks will be back in action at home when they take on the Windsor Lancers on Dec. 1.
