TORONTO, Ont – Ridgebacks have won their third straight game on the road after defeating the York Lions 2-1.
After falling down 1-0 after the first period, the Ridgebacks came out firing in the second. The Ridgebacks were finally able to break through after
Cullen McLean (Whitby, Ont) was able to find the back of the net tying the game.
The Ridgebacks kept up the pressure in the third, with
Jeremy Michaud(Victoriaville, Que) breaking the tie. Defenseman Stephan Calisti (Etobicoke, Ont) was key for the Ridgebacks making big plays on both ends of the ice.
Samuel Ivanov (Richmond Hill, Ont) was incredible all game, his biggest save came in the waning moments of the third as he made an incredible diving stop to clinch the victory for the Ridgebacks.
Ridgebacks will be back in action Sunday when they take on the RMC Paladins in Kingston.
