The Ontario Tech men's hockey team picked up a 6-3 win on Thursday night as they continued their preseason action over the Laurier Golden Hawks in Waterloo.
Cullen McLean (Whitby, Ont.) led the Ridgebacks offence with two goals and an assist, while
Leif Hertz (Kingston, Ont.) picked up the 25-save victory.Â
For the Ridgebacks, they trailed 1-0 after one, but McLean opened the scoring 39 seconds in the second period.Â
In the five-goal second period, between the two teams, Ontario Tech scored four to go up 4-2 after two. McLean scored both of his in the second, with
Andrew Suriyuth (Kingston, Ont.) and Mark Jakovljevic (Brantford, Ont.) adding single tallies.Â
The third period saw
Drew Toner (Grand Falls, N.B.) and
Liam Hurley (Cambridge, Ont.) score the final two Ontario Tech goals en route to their victory.Â
They are next in action on Thursday, Sept. 29 when they host the Laurier Golden Hawks at the Campus Ice Centre. Puck drop is slated for 7 p.m.
