After opening preseason play with a victory, the Ontario Tech men's hockey team fell 3-1 to the TMU Bold on Saturday afternoon.

Drew Toner (Grand Falls, N.B.) scored 17:21 into the second to cut the TMU lead to one. Cole Resnick and Holden Rogers had put the Bold ahead 2-0 midway through the second period.

Kyle Bollers scored with 32 seconds remaining in regulation to put the game out of reach.

William Demarais (Sherbrooke, Que.) and
Leif Hertz (Kingston, Ont.) split time in goal for the Ridgebacks, combining for 13 saves. Ryan Dugas made 28 saves in the victory.

Next up for the Ridgebacks is a trip to Waterloo to face the Laurier Golden Hawks on Thursday, Sept. 22.
