The Ontario Tech men's hockey team finished their final preseason game with a bang with a 3-0 victory over the York Lions.
 
The Ridgebacks opened the scoring with Pierre Luc Lurette (Val-D'amour, N.B.) finding the back of the net 12 minutes into the first period with assists from William Robinson (Upper Tantallon, N.S.) and Ryley Lanthier (Surrey, B.C.).
 
Lanthier and Robinson would connect again as Robinson put Ontario Tech up 2-0 midway through the second period, and newcomer Jeremy Michaud (Victoriaville, B.C.) scored a shorthanded empty net goal in the dying moments to put the game away.
 
With the preseason over, the Ridgebacks will now look towards the 2022-23 OUA regular season, which gets underway on Oct. 13 when they go on the road to the nation's capital to take on the Ottawa Gee-Gees.
