TORONTO, Ont. – The Ontario Tech University men's hockey program defeated the Ryerson Rams 5-3 on Saturday afternoon to sweep their exhibition home-and-home.
"There was a lot of good things on both sides of the puck today," said head coach
Curtis Hodgins. "We introduced some special teams concepts this week and we showed some positive strides in those areas, which was nice to see. We will look to clean up a couple more areas in our final exhibition game next week before we kick things off for real."
The Ridgebacks have one more exhibition game remaining on their schedule on Friday night at the Campus Ice Centre against the Toronto Varsity Blues. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Tyson McConnell (Pilot Mound, Man.) opened the scoring for Ontario Tech, 12:53 into the first period, his first of two goals in the game.
• Ryerson's Brandon Glover and Steve Harland each scored in the opening period to give the Rams a 2-1 lead after one period.

Brennan Roy (Iroquois Falls, Ont.) and
Austin Eastman (Lindsay, Ont.) each scored power play goals in the second period to put the Ridgebacks ahead 3-2. McConnell's second goal made it 4-2 after two.
• The Rams' final goal came from Adam Craievich with 1:23 to go in regulation on the power play, but
Alex Yuill (Wellington, Ont.) iced the game with an empty-net goal with 30 seconds to go.

Michael Bullion (Anchorage, Alaska) played all 60 minutes for the Ridgebacks, turning aside 23 shots for the win.
• Troy Timpano made 17 saves in the start for the Rams, while Garrett Forrest made nine over the final 30 minutes.
