WATERLOO, Ont. - The UOIT Ridgebacks men's hockey team split their preseason series with the Laurier Golden Hawks following a 4-3 overtime victory on Thursday night in Waterloo.

UOIT will roll right into their final preseason matchup tomorrow night when they face-off with the York Lions in Toronto. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
 

LIGHT THE LAMP

• Fifth-year veteran Mike Robinson (Stouffville, Ont.) scored the game-winner in a three-on-three overtime period, with assists coming from fourth-year captain Danny Elser (Hopewell Junction, NY) and second-year defence Brennan Roy (Iroquois Falls, Ont.).
• Kari Belec (Sudbury, Ont.), Jake Bricknell (Port Perry, Ont.), and Jordan Ross (Kronau, Sask.) rounded out the scoring for the Ridgebacks.
 

BETWEEN THE PIPES

• First-year goaltender Michael Bullion (Anchorage, Alaska) made 34 saves for the Ridgebacks in the victory.
