OSHAWA, Ont. – The UOIT men's hockey program is once again proud to support the campus holiday food drive.
On Saturday, December 2 at the final home game before the holiday break, fans will receive admission to the game with a monetary donation to the holiday food drive. Puck drop at the Campus Ice Centre is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. against the UQTR Patriotes.
During the second intermission, fans can also take part in the annual puck toss with a chance to win great prizes including a pair of Toronto Raptors tickets.
The annual Holiday Food Drive is a longstanding tradition on campus that has helped hundreds of University of Ontario Institute of Technology and Durham College students and their families enjoy happier holidays. It also gives our campus community an opportunity to come together for a great cause.
The success of the drive would not be possible without the kindness of volunteers. 2016 once again saw high demand for our services. With your help and generosity, we raised nearly $41,000 to assist more than 230 University of Ontario Institute of Technology and Durham College student families, more than 500 people in total.
