Nik Vantfoort - Rowing
Vantfoort, an Energy Systems Engineering major, recorded a top-10 finish at the Canadian University Rowing Association (CURA) national championship in Nova Scotia. Vantfoort finished in third place in the "B" finals, putting him ninth place overall in the men's singles event. It was one of the most tightly contested races of the regatta as he edged out Carleton by less than one second, while finishing less than two seconds behind the University of Victoria. This marks his second straight top-10 finish at the national event.
Ben Blasko – Men’s Hockey
In his first year with the Ridgebacks, Blasko has managed to start the season on a seven-game point streak. In Friday’s 3-1 win over Carlton, the Criminology and Justice Studies major had two assists. With two goals and seven assists this year, Blasko leads the Ridgebacks in scoring.Â
