Berney and Logan named student-athletes of the week
 
OSHAWA, Ont. – Melissa Berney (Bowmanville, Ont.) and Jake Logan (Napanee, Ont.) have been named the UOIT student-athletes of the week presented by Boston Pizza North Oshawa for the period ending Feb. 1.
 
Berney, a fifth-year criminology and justice studies student, scored her first goal of the season in the Ridgebacks 5-2 loss to the Queen’s Gaels on Thursday night at the Campus Ice Centre. UOIT has the weekend off as they prepare to host Waterloo and Laurier on Feb. 7 and 8.
