Battie and Robinson named student-athletes of the week

OSHAWA, Ont. – Zoe Battie (Nanaimo, B.C.) and Mike Robinson (Stouffville, Ont.) have been named the UOIT student-athletes of the week presented by Boston Pizza North Oshawa for the period ending Jan. 25.

Battie, a third-year criminology and justice studies student, scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in the Ridgebacks 5-2 victory over the Brock Badgers on Friday night at the Campus Ice Centre. The win ended UOIT’s losing streak at nine games.

The women’s hockey team is back in action Thursday night when they host Queen’s at 7:30 p.m.
