OSHAWA, Ont. – Kevin George (Uxbridge, Ont.) and Cassie Charette (Ottawa, Ont.) have been named the UOIT student-athletes of the week presented by Boston Pizza North Oshawa for the period ending Jan. 11.
George, a communication major, scored the game-winning goal against Brock in double overtime on Friday night. George was sent in alone on a breakaway where he would make no mistake, beating Brock goaltender Clint Windsor for the game winner. George's ninth goal marks a career high while he leads the team in scoring with 15 points. The next night, George played in his 100th OUA conference game.
