OSHAWA, Ont – Kylie Bordeleau [Cambridge, Ont.] has been named the UOIT student-athlete of the week presented by Boston Pizza North Oshawa for the period ending Nov. 9.
Bordeleau, a health science major, was named the player of the game in both of UOIT’s matches at CIS women’s soccer nationals held at Laval University over the weekend.
In Thursday’s quarter-final match against the two-time defending champion Trinity Western Spartans, Bordeleau etched her named in the UOIT record book, scoring the first Ridgebacks at a national championship. This was UOIT’s lone goal of the match, which the Ridgebacks lost 4-1 to the Spartans.
Friday’s consolation match against the Montreal Carabins ended the Ridgebacks historic season, a 4-3 loss in penalty kicks.
