Frigon, a fourth-year criminology & justice studies major, became only the fifth Ridgeback in program history to score a hat-trick as she scored three of Ontario Tech’s four goals in Saturday’s shutout of the Queen’s Gaels. She scored the eventual game-winning goal just 31 seconds into the game and tallied the hat-trick goal with just 45 seconds remaining in regulation. Her three-goal game was also impressive in that it tied her career season-high of three goals set a year ago.

The women’s hockey team is now off for the holidays until they return home to host the Nipissing Lakers on January 2. The men’s next action is January 4 as they travel south of the border to play the Robert Morris Colonials in Jamestown, PA.

The Ontario Tech student-athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North Oshawa.
