Smith, a nuclear engineering major, began the weekend at the McMaster/Mohawk Invitational, shooting a team low of 84. The Ridgebacks team then earned a top ten finish at the Laurier/Waterloo Invitational, where Smith led the team throughout the two-round tournament. Shooting rounds of 74 and 75, Smith ended the tournament with a score of 149, placing him 22nd overall in the individual standings.
The golf team enters their final tournament before the OUA championship today at the Guelph Invitational. The lacrosse team has four more matches before hosting OUA championship and are in action next weekend, when they face the Queen's Gaels and Trent Excalibur.
The Ontario Tech student-athlete of the week award is presented by Subway located at 2069 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa.
