Jenn has been involved in rowing as both an athlete, coach and administrator for over 25 years. She started rowing in 1995 while attending Port Perry High School with the Durham Rowing Club. Between 1999 and 2002, Jenn was a part of the women’s varsity team for Brock University (St. Catharines, Ont.) where she and her crewmates won a total of six OUA medals and a bronze medal at the Canadian University Championships. In 2002, she was forced to retire from competition due to injury but decided to stay involved with the sport as a coach.
After Jenn graduated from Brock University (M.Sc, Earth Sciences), her job brought her back to her hometown and in the fall of 2006, Ontario Tech’s inaugural year, she was a part of the women’s varsity coaching staff.
Jenn returned to Ontario Tech’s varsity coaching staff during the 2010-11 season as an assistant coach, and officially took on the Head Coach title in 2011. In 2012 the team earned the first OUA championship medals in program history, picking up bronze in the men’s double sculls and the women’s single sculls. Most recently, Ontario Tech finished off the 2017 season collecting another OUA bronze medal in the men’s double sculls.
