WREXHAM, Wales – Wrexham AFC have announced the signing of Ontario Tech women's soccer alum Sarah Harvey through the end of the 2025/26 season.
 
Harvey played with the Ridgebacks from 2015 to 2018 and was an integral part of the 2016 women's soccer team that captured the first OUA Championship in school history, while also securing the program's first U SPORTS medal with a third-place finish at the 2016 U SPORTS Women's Soccer Championship.
 
"It's an incredibly exciting time to sign with such an ambitious club, especially at this stage of the season," Harvey said. "Competing for three trophies, pushing for the league title, and having clear ambitions in the Champions League makes it exactly what I'm looking for at this point in my career. I've been fortunate to gain valuable experience competing in the Champions League before, and I'm really looking forward to challenging myself at that level again. It's a highly professional environment, led by and supported by staff who are just as committed to growing the women's game as they are to success on the pitch. That shared ambition, both on and off the field, made this the perfect next step for me."
 
Before heading to Europe, Harvey spent time with Prostars FC in League1 Ontario. After completing her education, she launched her professional career in Hungary with Puskás Akadémia before continuing her journey in Georgia with FC Samegrelo, where she gained valuable international experience, including appearances in UEFA Champions League qualifying matches.
 
Harvey later returned to North America to compete in the USL W League with Stockton Cargo SC, before crossing the Atlantic once again to play in England with FA Women's National League South side Lewes FC.

Reflecting on her journey, Harvey also offered advice to aspiring student-athletes chasing professional ambitions.
 
"Believe in your dream and don't let anyone tell you it's unrealistic," she said. "There will be setbacks, tough days, and moments where you question everything — that's normal. Push through it. Stay disciplined, keep working when it's hard and when no one's watching, and back yourself at all times. The lows are part of the process. If you stay consistent and refuse to quit, you give yourself a real chance to achieve everything you're chasing. No rain, no flowers."
