Audra Sherman

Sherman was named the head coach of the Ridgebacks women's soccer program in March 2020. Holding a Canada Soccer National A License, coupled with her background as a certified teacher, she is committed to student-athletes success on the field, in the classroom and in the community.

Prior to arriving at Ontario Tech, Sherman spent six years with Ottawa Fury FC in two main roles. She was the manager of community engagement and program development, while also holding the position of manager and head coach of the girls and women’s high performance program.

In her roles she developed community partnerships to advance player development and talent identification in eastern Ontario. This entailed designing, implementing and managing the overall strategic community technical plans through the implementation of the Fury In Training (FIT) club affiliation program.

On top of those two positions with Ottawa Fury FC, she was also the head coach of the elite girls academy (ages 14-18).
From 2011-2016 Sherman served as an assistant coach with the Carleton Ravens women’s soccer program and Team Ontario provincial staff coach, winning gold as coach in the 2013 national all-stars championship U15 division.
Sherman currently serves as a Canada Soccer learning facilitator, assessor and mentor coach.

Prior to coaching, Sherman was a member of Canada Soccer’s national program from 1995-97 followed by time with Clemson University from 1998-00. Sherman played at Hofstra University from 2000-02 before spending five seasons playing in the USL W-League.
