LONDON, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's Basketball team fell short against the Western Mustangs 70-58 on Saturday night.
After a solid first quarter, the Ridgebacks were able to keep it close heading into the fourth quarter. A dominant performance from the Mustangs propelled them to take the lead for the remainder of the game.
The Ridgebacks scoring was led by
Adra Barnet (Winnipeg, Man.) with 13 points.
Allie Dunnett (Sussex, N.B.) had nine points, while hitting three three-point shots. Also contributing to the scoring was
Marie Stasiuk (Coburg, Ont.) with eight points and eight rebounds off the bench.
The Mustangs were able to pull away from the game in the second quarter to allow Emily Capretta to lead the night with 19 points for the Mustangs.
The Ridgebacks return to the court on Friday, February 2 when the Waterloo Warriors visit at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
