OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech Ridgebacks men's hockey team hosted the nationally ranked UQTR on Friday, losing 4-1.

The Ridgebacks had a strong first period with Sam Gillis (Sydney, N.S.) opening the scoring with a great give and go play with Baxter Anderson (Langley, B.C.). 

Unfortunately, UQTR would score four unanswered goals, including one on a 5 minute power play after Andrew Suriyuth (Kingston, Ont.) was given a 5 minute major and a game misconduct for head contact.

The Ridgebacks are back in action today at 3 p.m. where they host the McGill Redbirds.
