OSHAWA, Ont. – Ryley Lanthier (Surrey, B.C.) picked up his first career hat-trick against the visiting TMU Bold on Saturday Night as the Ridgebacks took down the TMU Bold 4-1 at the Campus Ice Centre.

The Dog Pound was packed with fans for the third annual Retro Night where the Ridgebacks celebrated the 20th anniversary of Ontario Tech and the energy spilled over onto the ice, where both teams had several chances in the first period, but remained tied heading into the second.

Lanthier got on the board early in the second, picking up the first of three assists from Marko Jakovljevic (Brantford, Ont.) on the night. Jakoljevic would end the period with a goal of his own, with assists from Cullen McLean (Whitby, Ont.) and James White (Peterborough, Ont.). Lanthier got back in on the action midway through the third period, with Ben Diamond (Strathroy, Ont.) adding an assist along with Jakovljevic, and Lanthier would cap the night with a third empty net goal at the end of the period.

The UQTR Patriotes are next up for the Ridgebacks at the Campus Ice Centre on Friday, January 20 at 7 p.m.
