OSHAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's basketball program got solid performances from their starters, but fell to the McMaster Marauders 94-64 in the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre
Saturday night was also the annual U SPORTS Shoot for the Cure where the Ridgebacks were raising money for the Canadian Cancer Society, and they also hosted the Scarborough Blues U14 girls for a half time game and visit in the locker room.
The Ridgebacks kept the game close early on, and found four starters in double-digits by the end of the game as
Amarachi Achioso (Vaughan, Ont.) and
Elliot Cowan (Chatham, Ont.) each had 10 points, and
Adra Barnet (Winnipeg, Man.) and
Felicity Villarin had 12 points a piece.
Allie Dunnett (Sussex, N.B.) also contributed 14 points off the bench
With the second half of the season now in full swing, a long road trip now awaits the Ridgebacks. A stop in Toronto on Wednesday night to face the Varsity Blues will be the first of four games on the road before they return back to the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre on February 2.
