The Ontario Tech women's soccer team opened their OUA season with a dominant 6-0 win on the road over the RMC Paladins.
Nikita Mohan (Ottawa, Ont.) struck first with an assist from Cristina Coroado (Bolton, Ont.) and followed it up with a second goal before the half. Marlene Siwula (Mississauga, Ont.) also got in on the goal-scoring in the first half with an assist from Tara Sisic (Toronto, Ont.)
The Ridgebacks continued their offensive attack in the second half, with Abbie Russell (Georgetown, Ont.) netting her first regular season goal as a Ridgeback with help from Georgia Hogan (Ottawa, Ont.). Mackenzie Scott (Peterborough, Ont.) added her first goal, assisted by Kiana Parker-King (Oshawa, Ont.), and Priscilla Voulgaris (East York, Ont.) netted the final goal with an assist from Hogan.
Alicia Chisholm (Woodbridge, Ont.) picked up her first clean sheet of the season in net.
Ontario Tech finishes their road trip with a match-up against Queen's Gaels at 1 p.m. on Sunday before turning their sights to the annual Campus Cup match-up with the Durham Lords on Sept. 5.
