Ismaila finishes with double-double in win over Thunderbirds

The Ontario Tech women's basketball were on the road taking on Algoma Thunderbirds. The Ridgebacks defeated the Thunderbirds 61-53 on Saturday afternoon.

After a close first quarter, the Ridgebacks trailed 38-29 heading into halftime. Ontario Tech would outscore the Thunderbirds 32-15 in the second half to walk away with the victory.

Hadeza Ismaila (Ottawa, Ont.) led the way for the Ridgebacks. She finished with 15 points and eight rebounds. Nadia Ismaila (Ottawa, Ont.)also had a strong game, finishing with 10 points and 13 rebounds.

The Ridgebacks next game will be on Friday, Feb. 10 in Guelph against the Guelph Gryphons. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
