Comeback falls short against Thunderwolves in final home game

The Ontario Tech women's basketball team hosted the Lakehead Thunderwolves for their final home game of the season. The Thunderwolves defeated the Ridgebacks 71-67 on Saturday night.

Lakehead's Tiffany Reynolds led the way for the Thunderwolves. She finished with 18 points, eight rebounds, and four assists.

Hadeza Ismaila (Ottawa, Ont.) led the Ridgebacks in scoring with 17 points. Dalyssa Fleurgin (Montreal, Que.) finished with 13 points and seven rebounds.

Prior to the game, Ontario Tech graduating seniors were recognized. The 2023 graduating class includes Ismaila, Fleurgin, Katherine Onunkwo, Alyssa Carin and Sara Esongolo Biango.

The Ridgebacks' next game will be on Friday, Feb. 17, on the road against the Laurentian Voyageurs. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
