Strong second half propels Thunderwolves past Ridgebacks

The Ontario Tech men's basketball team hosted the Lakehead Thunderwolves on Saturday for their final home game of the 2022-23 season. The Thunderwolves defeated the Ridgebacks 88-73.

After taking a 47-38 lead into the half, the Ridgebacks were outscored 50-26 in the second half of Saturday's contest.

Lakehead's Nathan Bilamu finished as the game's top scorer with 27 points. Michael Okafor had a strong outing as well, finishing with 24 points and 11 rebounds for the Thunderwolves.

Levi Ogbonna (Toronto, Ont.) was the Ridgebacks top scorer with 18 points. AJ Cummings (Ajax,Ont.) finished with 16 points and Stefan Prica (Etobicoke, Ont.) had 14 points in the loss.

The Ridgebacks' next game will be on Friday, Feb. 17 in Sudbury against the Laurentian Voyageurs. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m.
