KINGSTON, Ont – The Ridgebacks fell to Queen's 74-53 in the first game of a home-and-home versus the Gaels.
The Ridgebacks played with energy on defense all game and were able to create turnovers and make life difficult for the Gaels. Unfortunately the ridgebacks failed to turn these opportunities into points missing really good opportunities multiple times in transition.
The Ridgebacks were able to bring it close in the fourth quarter feeding off the energy provided by
Tombe Pitia (Kitchener, Ont.), but unfortunately the comeback bid came up short as they ran out of gas in the final minutes falling to the Gaels by a final score of 74-53. The Ridgebacks were led by
Keon Baker (Pickering, Ont.) who had 11 points, six rebounds and two blocks.
The Ridgebacks will look to get revenge at home against the Gaels tomorrow when they take on Queen's in Oshawa.
