SUDBURY, Ont. – The Ridgebacks men's basketball team's hot start came to an end on Saturday night, with a 75-49 loss to the Laurentian Voyageurs in Sudbury.

Laurentian mounted an early lead with a 20-12 opening quarter, and the Ridgebacks, who were still without starting point guard Zubair Seyed (Chatham, Ont.) struggled to find ways back into the game.

Ayub Nurhussien (Hamilton, Ont.) led the Ridgebacks with 17 points and six rebounds.

The Ridgebacks will get a week to rest and regroup before hosting the Queen's Gaels at home at 1 p.m. on Nov. 17 for a school day game at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Centre.
