OTTAWA, Ont. – The Ontario Tech women's soccer team put up a valiant fight against the undefeated Ottawa Gee-Gee's, but eventually fell 4-0 in the nation's capitol.
The Ridgebacks came out aggressively, pressing the Gee-Gee's on their end of the pitch but Ottawa quickly took control of the game in the 10th minute with a goal from Maya Smith. The loss sees Ontario Tech fall to sixth in the east with Carleton picking up a 2-1 win over the TMU Bold, and the Toronto Varsity Blues securing a 2-0 win over Laurentian.
The Ridgebacks will be back in action for their home finale against the Carleton Ravens on Oct. 22 when they honour their graduating seniors.
