The Ontario Tech men's hockey team fell 4-3 in overtime to the RMC Paladins on Friday night, the first game of back-to-back against the Paladins.
Tech's
Tyson McConnell (Pilot Mound, Man.) opened the scoring with the game's first goal. Following that goal, RMC's Christian Tsukamoto tied it up, and Ridgeback
James White (Peterborough, Ont.) was able to sneak one in giving Tech a one-goal lead going into the second period.
In the second, RMC gained some ground as Isaac Pascoal came out with the only goal of the period making it 2-2 going into the third.
RMC's Christopher Paquette grabbed the first goal in the third, followed by Tech's
Sean Ross (Bracebridge, Ont.) and like déjà vu, the period ended with a tie at 3-3.
After 34 seconds of overtime, RMC's Noah Rowe cashed in the game-winning goal.
Leif Hertz (Kingston, Ont.) made 30 saves in net.
The Ridgebacks meet RMC again tomorrow afternoon at 3 p.m.
