The McMaster Marauders dropped Ontario Tech 2-1 on Saturday to open preseason action.
 
Both teams scored in the first 10 minutes, with Jordan Tortolo (East Gwillimbury, Ont.) netting the Ridgebacks goal in the ninth minute to even the match 1-1.
 
Georgia Merriman scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 79^th minute for the Marauders.
 
Alicia Chisholm (Woodbridge, Ont.) and Katrina Pappas (Toronto, Ont.) split time in goal.
 
The Ridgebacks wrap their preseason play on Sunday afternoon at home against the York Lions.
