OSHAWA, Ont. – In the final weekend of conference play and first game since February 26, the Ontario Tech men's hockey team fell 3-1 to the RMC Paladins.
Prior to puck drop, the Ridgebacks recognized their graduating seniors for 2021-22, which include
Jack Patterson (Bedford, N.S.),
JC Thivierge (Welland, Ont.),
Brett Harasymuk (Yorkton, Sask.),
Kari Belec (Sudbury, Ont.),
Keaton Holinaty (Hardisty, Alta.),
Austin Eastman (Lindsay, Ont.),
Matthieu Gomercic (Winnipeg, Man.) and
Michael Bullion (Anchorage, Alaska).
Sean Ross (Bracebridge, Ont.) scored the lone Ridgeback goal in the loss, coming late in the third to cut the Paladins lead to 2-1.
Leif Hertz (Kingston, Ont.) made 21 saves in the loss, compared to 38 for Brad Van Schubert in the victory for RMC.
Ontario Tech will now travel for their opening round of the playoffs, with the opponent being determined after Saturday night's action.
