OSHAWA, Ont. - The Ontario Tech women's hockey team knocked off the No. 5 ranked Nipissing Lakers 2-1 on Thursday afternoon in Oshawa.
Not only were they able to celebrate the victory, but before the game, the Ridgebacks recognized
Kassidy Ford (Gananoque, Ont.) for playing 100 games at Ontario Tech..
Nicole Escano (Kingston, Ont.) put the Ridgebacks on the board 11 minutes into the second period.
Escano's influence shortly rubbed off onto

The last goal scored of the game by Brianna Gaffney cut the Ontario Tech lead to one, three minutes prior to the second-period buzzer.
