TORONTO, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's basketball team lost 112-68 in their first game of 2022, after a delayed start to the second half of the season.
The Ridgebacks had some solid offensive contributions from
Anthony Pate (Oakville, Ont.) and
AJ Cummings (Ajax, Ont.) with 17 points and 11 from
Ammar Hassan (London, Ont.), but had no answers for York on defence as the Lions' Prince Kamunga scored 35. Somto Dimanochie also had 19 points for York.
The Ridgebacks will have a few days to think about the loss before returning to Toronto for a rematch with York on Saturday as look to break their seven game losing streak.
