TORONTO, Ont. – The Ontario Tech men's basketball team fought hard in their second game against the York Lions this season but fell just short of a comeback in the fourth quarter as York pulled away with a 96-79 victory.
Cameron Ramage (Ajax, Ont.) came on strong with his best showing as a Ridgeback so far, contributing 18 points two steals and three rebounds, while
AJ Cummings (Ajax, Ont.) started out hot with 16 points.
D'on Duncan (Calgary, Alta.) had 13 points and grabbed seven boards.
Although Ontario Tech found some positives with their new starting lineup, they struggled to contain the Lions' duo of Somto Dimanochie and Prince Kamunga, who had 28 points each.
The Ridgebacks will return to Oshawa to take on the nationally ranked Queen's Gaels before heading to North Bay to start their final road trip at Nipissing.
