Nationally ranked Varsity Blues top Ridgebacks

TORONTO, Ont. -  The Toronto Varsity Blues, who came into Tuesday night's game as the No. 1 ranked team in Canada, proved to be too much for the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks women's hockey team as they came away with a 4-1 victory.

Varsity Blues' forward Celine Frappier led the way for Toronto, as she managed to score twice. Taylor Trussler was also impressive for the Blues, as she finished with a goal and an assist.

Toronto's Goaltender Erica Fryer was locked in all night as she stopped 26 of 27 Ridgeback shots.

Ridgebacks' goalie Zoe McGee (Kanata, Ont.) finished the night with 25 saves and Erin Ross (Lucan, Ont.) scored Ontario Tech's only goal of the contest late in the third period.
