TORONTO, Ont. - Kelsey McHolm scored 2:26 into overtime on Friday night to lift the York Lions to a 4-3 win over the Ontario Tech women's hockey team.
After the opening goal by
Mackenzie Krasowski (Keswick, Ont.), the Lions scored three straight to take a 3-1 lead.
Brooklyn Duff (Smithville, Ont.) cut the lead to one with 3:06 to go in the second period, with
Blaire Allison (Pickering, Ont.) knotting the game up 5:46 into the final period of regulation.
Zoe McGee (Kanata, Ont.) made 21 saves in the loss, while Serena Vilde turned aside 35 Ridgeback shots in the victory.
The two teams meet again Saturday night in Oshawa, with puck drop slated for 7 p.m.
