The Ontario Tech women's hockey team finished their three-game road trip with a 3-1 loss to the nationally ranked Nipissing Lakers on Wednesday night.

The Ridgebacks battled throughout the first period, but Nipissing struck first with Maria Dominco finding the back of the net off a penalty shot. Malaroy Dominico and Maddison Stitt both scored for Nipissing in the second, before
Brooklyn Duff (Smithville, Ont.) found a back hand shot off a rebound to get Ontario Tech on the board.

Zoe McGee (Kanata, Ont.) started in net for the Ridgbebacks and made 31 saves in her fourth start of the season.

The Ridgebacks will return home to take on the TMU Bold on Saturday night before a home away series starts with the Queen's Gaels on Nov. 18.
