Krasowski scores hat-trick in win over Bold

In a high-scoring affair on Saturday afternoon, the Ontario Tech women's hockey defeated the TMU Bold 6-4 in Oshawa.

Ontario Tech came out on fire to start the first as Mackenzie Krasowski (Keswick, Ont.) and Julianne Davidson (Courtice, Ont.) scored within the first 90 seconds of action. Kayla Welk (Barrie, Ont.) added another as the Ridgebacks took a 3-1 lead into the intermission.

After two goals from the Bold evened the score at three a piece, Ridgebacks' captain Erin Ross (Lucan, Ont.) put the team back in front halfway through the second. Krasowski scored her second of the game to give the Ridgebacks a two-goal lead heading into the third.
 
In the final 20 minutes, the Bold would score once before Krasowski would put the game out of reach and complete the hat trick with an empty net goal. Ridgebacks' goalie Brooke Vial (Port Moody, B.C.) recorded 33 saves in Saturday's win.

The Ridgebacks next game will be on Friday, Nov. 18, at home against the Queen's Gaels. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
