The Ontario Tech women's hockey team recorded their first shutout of the year in a 1-0 victory over the Brock Badgers on the road.

Katie Mikkelsen (Oshawa, Ont.) scored the lone goal in the second period, assisted by
Erin Ross (Lucan, Ont.) and
Nicole Escano (Kingston, Ont.) on the power play.

Brooke Vial (Port Moody, B.C.) recorded the shutout stopping 21 shots, picking up her second win this season. The win ties the season series with the Brock Badgers with each team coming away with a victory.

The Ridgebacks will make a stop in North Bay when they take on the Nipissing Lakers on Nov. 9 and then return home to Oshawa to face the TMU Bold on Nov. 12 and 3 p.m. at the Campus Ice Centre.Â
